About

Questioning intelligence, in good faith.

Why Volantis

Volantis exists to question the vision of intelligence — human and artificial — through the valor of ideas rather than the comfort of consensus. It is an opinion journal, not a news outlet.

Every essay begins from a single conviction: that the most dangerous ideas are the ones everyone has agreed to stop examining. The writing here is meant to provoke thought, not settle it — and it is offered to readers who would rather be provoked than reassured.

Who writes it

Vatsal Gaonkar

Finance & AI Transformation Advisor · Oracle ACE Director

Vatsal Gaonkar is a Finance & AI Transformation leader with more than two decades spent aligning people, process, and technology. An Oracle ACE Director and advisor to C-suite executives, he writes about Autonomous Finance, agentic AI, and what he calls Abundance-Based Leadership and the Infinite Improvement mindset — treating innovation as a journey rather than a destination.

For over two decades I've worked inside boardrooms, project reviews, and technology strategy — long enough to notice how often reasonable people talk themselves out of asking the real question. Volantis is where I ask it anyway. The views here are my own, offered in good faith, and open to being wrong.
